Your CV is your device to get you to an interview.

Accordingly, it must stand out from the crowd. How do you do this? It is important to present to each employer, a specifically tailored CV.

This means that you should customise your CV to meet the particular requirements of the job in question.

The skills, which are most in demand by the particular employer, should be prominent on your CV.

Stress your main attributes clearly at the beginning of the CV.

Presentation is very important. Keep it simple and do not make it longer than two pages. Our suggested format of main headings in order of importance is set out below:

  • Personal Data
  • Areas of Special Competence and / or Technical Summary
  • Professional employees will only contact you at work with your permission
  • Education
  • Professional Associations
  • Professional / Employment History
  • Major Assignments
  • Awards and / or Interests
